Why this blog?

Even if news feeds are mainly political, fashion and scandal related, the economy is the most important force that governs our lives. Nobody can make abstraction of it, and instead to obey, we can try to understand and to better slip into the ocean of economic information that surrounds us.

Because I am in the final stage of a Ph.D. in Economics, I decided to create this blog to share views with others about the economy.

With the increasing importance of economic globalization, media channels have started to give more importance to this phenomenon. Many journalists have journalism studies and not economic studies, the best source of information have become the representatives of various industries (to use the American term, very broad). Thus, a multitude of voices began to express their views about economic phenomena in general, or in different fields of economic life. Any economic branch we consider, beside several competent voices analyzing economic phenomenon, many non-competent persons take the opportunity to speak from a desire to be present in the pages of newspapers or on TV screens.

The Internet made possible to voices more or less competent to express themselves. Internet democracy and opportunity to express one's views in the darkness of anonymity made cyberspace flooded by people who hate competence and promote humoral primitivism.

This blog wants to be a place of decent and reasonable opinions about economic phenomena. With readers smarter than theirs, I hope :)
